ETHAN's Story

Radio-a-thon Information

Host: KTXJ 102.7 FM Radio Station
Jasper, Texas

▪ Hours:

▪ Friday, May 2 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
▪ Saturday, May 3 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

▪ Volunteers are needed to:

1) Man tables in each of the following locations throughout the hours of the radio-a-thon. The purpose of these sites will be to share information about ETHAN and accept cash donations and, or pledges from individual donors.

2) Site volunteers will be asked to call in at different times to provide an update on the pledges they have received.

3) Donors name, amount of gift and location will be announced over the radio.

▪ Testimonials

▪ Testimonials from clients, board members, community partners will be aired throughout the 20 hours of the Radio-a-thon. If you would like to prerecord your testimonial and, or comments, please call the ETHAN office and we will schedule a time for you to do this at the radio station. Available times to record your testimonial are Monday thru Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

▪ Other Fundraisers

▪ Sonic Drive In’s in Woodville, Jasper and Kirbyville will be sponsoring a “Support ETHAN Day” on Saturday, May 17. Ten percent (10%) of the total days sales from these locations will be donated to ETHAN. Youth volunteers are needed for these sites between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to handout ETHAN brochures, sale raffle tickets, and to collect donations of change from Sonic customers.

▪ Elijah’s Restaurant in Jasper is Cooking Breakfast in support of ETHAN programs on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Tickets are $10 each and all proceeds go to ETHAN. ETHAN staff.htm will be on hand that morning with a cheerful smile to serve you breakfast. Not able to join us for a sit down breakfast, no problem, take outs are available.
